Martin Matheny, AHC, CSI, has been named Senior Specification Consultant at Campbell-McCabe San Diego. Martin joins Campbell-McCabe after over thirty years as a writer of door, frame and hardware specifications on US designed projects world-wide. Martin is a past executive with Steelcraft, Sargent & Co., Medeco, and Assa Abloy. Martin specializes in integrated door/hardware specifications for medical, educational, and government sectors. He protected our freedoms and upheld democracy for six years with the US Army’s European Air Missile Defense System and earned his BS degree from Connecticut State University, New Haven. ARC/Shawmut Design complete $68m 5 story expansion at Tufts School of Dental Medicine
Dedication ceremonies held Friday at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine will culminate a $68 million, 22-month vertical expansion development. University officials, City of Boston representatives and community leaders will celebrate the grand opening of a five-story, 95,000 s/f vertical addition on top of the existing 10-story Tufts University School of Dental Medicine building in Chinatown. “I am so proud of our team’s work on this tremendously challenging project,” said Shawmut Design and Construction’s CEO Thomas Goemaat. Real Estate & Construction Review awards the Green Building of America Award to the Mara Village Residence Hall at Fitchburg State College. The CBT designed project was built by Colantonio, Inc. Campbell-McCabe was retained as the Architectural Hardware Experts.
Margulies Perruzzi Architects Receives Brick in Architecture Award
Margulies Perruzzi Architects, one of Boston’s most innovative architectural and interior design firms, announced that the firm received the 2009 Brick in Architecture Bronze Award in the commercial category for its design of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA) South Shore office building in Hingham. Completed in June 2007, the new, four-story, 329,000 square foot office building includes a multi-purpose cafeteria space, conference/training center, major data center and child care facility. A five-level, 1,184-car parking structure is linked directly to the main lobby by an all-weather connection. Currently accommodating 1,100 BCBSMA employees, the facility was designed to allow for future expansion with no additional infrastructure required. Located at 25 Technology Place in Hingham, Mass., the facility is the region’s largest LEED® Silver certified project. Campbell-McCabe, Inc. provided the hardware consulting services.

Campbell-McCabe Receives Harleston Parker Medal Accolade
Campbell-McCabe has been awarded a commendation by the Boston Society of Architects for its participation on the 2007 Harleston Parker Medal project Renfro Institute of Contemporary Art. The Harleston Parker Medal was established in 1921 by J. Harleston Parker to recognize the most beautiful piece of architecture within the limits of the City of Boston. Campbell-McCabe professionals LEED Certified
Two members of the Campbell-McCabe architectural team have been certified as LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED APs). Charles McCabe, senior operations manager, and Stephen McCabe, senior specification consultant, passed the LEED Professional Accreditation exam indicating comprehensive understanding of green building principles and techniques, as well as the LEED Green Building Rating System developed by the US Green Building Council.
